Songs I probably shouldn't have on my MP3 player

Last week, I decided to get myself a new MP3 player with some birthday money, as my old MP# is a huge white brick. As I was transferring the music over from one player to the other, I noticed an array of interesting (and often ridiculous) songs that I'm not sure I even realized I owned. Here are some that really caught me by surprise:

1. Three versions of "It's a Small World." Yes, THREE versions. One is short, one is long, and the last one has the song in different languages. Dear lord. 2. Random quotes from "Billy Madison" i.e. "Shampoo is better! I go on first and clean the hair! Conditioner is better! I make the hair silky and smooth! Oh really fool? Really!" and many more.

3. "The Superbowl Shuffle." GO BEARS!
4. Several songs with hideously inappropriate names, for example, "Erection," "Foreplay," "Gay Bar," and the Tenacious D classic, "Fuck Her Gently."

5. Various 80's and 90's TV theme songs: "Full House," "Family Matters," "David the Gnome," "Hey Dude," "Salute Your Shorts," "Duck Tales," and "Are You Afraid of the Dark?"
6. Some song by Will Smith called "Da Butta"....???
7. The "Indiana Jones" theme- because you can't go on adventures without it!

8. The "Thong Song." I'm more proud of this one than anything. What a classic!
9. Entire Disney World rides. The Splash Mountain track lasts about 12 minutes.

10. The "Babysitting Blues" song from the greatest 80's movie of all time: "Adventures in Babysitting!"

11. Two tracks entitled "Bathroom." I was too afraid to listen to them.
12. And finally, "The Breakfast Song." If you haven't heard this song, it is incredible- go here and watch the video. You won't be sorry! It's a gospel-type song about how you will die one day, and because you're dead, you won't have to eat breakfast that morning. And it's completely serious.

Do you have anything totally ridiculous on your MP3 player, or any tracks that you're totally embarrassed by when they start to play?

There is nothing wrong with having the Superbowl Shuffle on your MP3!

It's a Small World? There may be something wrong with that! You need to fill it up with as much Huey Lewis and the News as possible.

Or Ratt.

I don't think I can top many of these. My MP3 player gets constantly reloaded, wiped out, and reloaded again depending on my mood.

Can you send me the Duck Tales theme? I do love that one.

I don't have an MP3 player but if I did it would likely have song on it from the Doctor Demento show... such classics as:

"Something's In the Bag (Mommy! Mommy!)"

"Another One Rides the Bus!"

"Shaving Cream"

"The Ballad Of Dildo The Clown"

...and of course, The Masochism Tango (orchestral version) - Tom Lehrer

I'm dying laughing right now! Those are sooo great! I especially love that you have the Full House theme song on there! (I'm a little jealous though) Really with 3 "It's a Small World"'s!?!? hahahaha!

I have Pocahontas on mine. Love it!

Ugh! Just visiting over from SITS...

Haha! As much as I hate Small World, you're making me miss Disney. I even secretly love the rides I hate!

I would be ashamed to tell you about the crap I have on my Ipod. Lets just say it contains all my CDs from 4th grade on.

You'll appreciate the fact that I have the Disney Princesses Vol. 1 CD. I used to sing along to "Belle" on repeat.

That is too funny! I have a lot of weird songs, like Fish Heads and They're coming to take me away, but I have 2 boys - so can you really blame me for having that second song on there? :)

BTW, to your commenter Dan - What's wrong with Meatloaf? I grew up listening to him and have several of his songs on my iPod.

THIS was hysterical. I'm totally cracking up. I have quite a few of the same ones -- *unchecked* as well as random hits such as the theme song to Charles in Charge and Cheers, and random quotes from Austin Powers (including "do I make you horny, baby?") and The Breakfast Club.

hehehe....

When I went on my honeymoon I bought the "It's a Small World" CD. I loved it and played it for the kids in my class everyday. My own children recently broke it by accident and it made me VERY sad. I really should put it on my MP3. Visiting from SITS. I hope you'll visit me too.

I have the theme to "Speed Racer" and "Snoopy and the Red Baron". There, I said it. Can we keep this on the down low please.
