Sunglasses from Forever 21: $6
Yes, I had $300, yet I still bought the cheapest sunglasses in town. I don't care- I love them. I'm usually an aviator girl, but I fell in love with these anyways. You can't really tell, but they're kinda Ray-Ban shaped, so I feel like a Blues Brother whenever I go anywhere.
Earring Holder from Urban Outfitters: $5Marked down from $30! There were other, much cuter, ones but I was not about to spend 30 bucks on an earring holder. This'll do just fine.
Beer: $10Hey- it was Cinco de Mayo! I couldn't NOT get some Mexican beer! Plus, for work, I have to blog about an alcoholic beverage each week, so it was for BUSINESS purposes!
Organic Sheets from Target: $50
Yes, I spent $128 on a quilt. A shitty, thin quilt made by small children somewhere in China. But it's so pretty! This picture doesn't do it justice. There are MUCH better pictures here. I'm a sucker for anything Urban- I just can't help myself! And I totally jumped on the "organic" bandwagon and got these white sheets. I felt like an idiot and the woman at the checkout actually said, "organic sheets??" But they're soft so I don't care.
I intentionally bought the most intense-looking shoes to make up for the fact that I am such a wimpy worker-outer. I have never worked out for longer than an hour in my life. I figure, people will look at my shoes and be like, "wow- she's hardcore" while I'm tripping over my own feet as I walk 3mph on the treadmill.

That adds up to about $280. I assume I spent the other $20 on gas and heroin. Minus the heroin.
Sorry for the lameness of this post. I mostly just like looking at my beautiful new items. Expect a guest post soon by none other than my metalhead boyfriend, Dan. He will have some interesting stuff to say...it will probably be about vikings and ninjas.

You should have spent the whole $300 on heroin. That would have been totally worth the money. Probably.
I love tax refunds! Its like a little savings account from the government!
Looks like you got some cute stuff toO!! :)
I can't wait for vikings and ninjas!
That's a cute quilt!
I really REALLY want that earring holder.
Hold the phone, you're getting paid to blog about alcohol once a week and here I am doing it for free?! I need your job.
I love the Pumas!
You're really teasing us with this fabulous job, you know.
I need some new sheets too. I might check those Target ones out. I've fallen for the organic thing, too.
Wow, love the earring holder, I need one!!
Very very jealous of your job. Closest I came was my tavern wench gig in college, $6 an hour plus tips to sit around and drink beer, but occasionally we did have to work.
i was gonna take my tax refund to europe, but alas, i quit my jobby and spent it already (and on nothing in particular). bummer.
Those shoes are awesome!
I love the earring holder too! And it was on sale? I didn't think Urban Outfitters EVER put anything on sale!
Tax refunds are the best! You spread yours out way more than I did. I spent it all in one place. Poof. Gone.
That quilt is pretty sweet.
Stopping by from SITS!
good for you for enjoying your refund, someday you'll be old like me and you will use it to buy things like furniture and your kids school :-) Have a great day
Let me first tell you that I am VERY impressed by your purchases! All were definaely GREAT CHOICES! I bought a quilt from Urban (of course, we're twins) like 4 years ago and I'm STILL in love with it and use it as by bed spread! The beer was an obvi choice, I would have been disappointed if you didn't buy something alcohol related!
However, I am extremely jealous that you got money back because I OWED money. Every year I mess up on my forms and end up owing money. I'm an idiot!!!
Tax refunds are like holiday gifts. I love those shoes and you just reminded me I need a new pair.

Love the earring holder - I know totally need one!
so i am COVETING all of your urban purchases. im a sucker for a good earring holder and i would KILL for that duvet during the moroccan winter. speaking of, that quilt does have some moroccan characteristics to it.. i'd scratch your chinese youth theory and put my money on tiny moroccan/indian hands with needle scars on them as being responsible for that bad boy. also, beer: drooool
Got to love having an excuse like "for business purposes". :)
Hey, what are "organic" sheets? I assume they are cotton... I don't understand....
:) I bet you look way too cool in those sunglasses... but then you prolly look way too cool in about anything.
Fun shopping. I owed taxes this year =( Hopefully being married will change that for next year.
I always buy cheap sunglasses cause they get lost and/or scratched way to easy to spend too much money on them. Alcohol is ALWAYS money well spent and those shoes are awesome!
So... is that actually some sort of bed under the quilt or just some Chinese kids laid out in a row to form a boxspring?
I love the quilt and the shoes. I need a little tax relief so I can buy a quilt and some shoes, and glasses I guess too, while I am at it. What's up with the Raybans? I am starting to see them again. I am never throwing anything away again!
way to spread out that $300 effectively! I love that you bought the cheapest sunglasses in town, because in turn you were able to buy MORE STUFF! :)
